Simpson Secures Fifth MLRA Championship!

(October 12, 2024) Chad Simpson, of Mount Vernon, Iowa, secured his fifth career Lucas Oil MLRA Series Championship with a pair of podium efforts on October 10-11 in the states of Missouri and Illinois! On Thursday night at I-70 Speedway in Odessa, Missouri, Chad earned Fast Time honors during the qualifying session prior to finishing third in his loaded heat race. After rolling off from the inside of the third row in the 30-lap 'K.C. Cup' main event, Chad steered his #25 machine up to the second spot to finish an impressive runner-up behind only $7,000 victor Ryan Gustin!

In another $7,000 to win contest to wrap up the MLRA tour on Friday evening at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois, Chad qualified third fastest in time trials and won his heat race in preliminary action. He then started and finished third in the 30-lapper - behind only winner Chris Simpson and runner-up Tony Jackson, Jr. - to clinch the series Championship! Pair of Top Fives for Simpson at Wheatland

(October 6, 2024) From October 3-5, Chad Simpson competed in the annual 'MLRA Fall Nationals' at the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. In the pair of $5,000 to win weekend openers, Chad finished fourteenth on Thursday night and third on Friday evening behind only victor Ryan Gustin and his brother Chris Simpson after leading the first twelve circuits of the 30-lapper. With a $10,000 payday up for grabs in Saturday's weekend finale, Chad won his heat race, led the first eighteen laps of the 50-lap affair, and wound up fifth at the checkers behind only winner Chris Simpson, Stormy Scott, Tony Jackson, Jr., and Dillon McCowan! Simpson Tackles Lucas Oil Knoxville Nationals

(September 22, 2024) Chad Simpson Racing was in attendance at the sprawling Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa from September 19-21 for the 20th Annual 'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals.' On Thursday night in the first of two $7,000 to win preliminary programs, Chad Simpson placed fourth in his heat race and fifteenth in the 25-lap feature after starting from the pole position. In a similar show on Friday evening, Chad advanced to second in his heat race prior to starting and finishing nineteenth in the 25-lapper.

With a whopping $50,000 paycheck up for grabs on Saturday in the 'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals' grand finale, Chad rolled off from the outside of the tenth row in the 75-lap contest. Unfortunately, the Mount Vernon, Iowa ace was an early retiree in the crown jewel headliner and was ultimately paid for a twenty-seventh place performance. Top Five for Chad Simpson in Davenport Opener

(September 15, 2024) Next up for the #25 team was a Lucas Oil MLRA Series triple shot in the Hawkeye State from September 12-14. On Thursday night in the $5,000 to win weekend lid lifter at Cedar County Raceway in Tipton, Iowa, Chad Simpson broke a rear-end during time trials, but battled back to finish fifth in his heat race. Following a win in his B-Main, Chad blasted past nine competitors during the 'Hawkeye Land 40' en route to an eighth place performance.

The tripleheader then wrapped up with a pair of events on the 1/4-mile oval at Davenport Speedway in Davenport, Iowa. In Friday's show, which boasted another $5,000 payday, Chad placed second in his heat race and fourth in the 'Corn State Nationals' opener behind only victor Garrett Alberson, Dennis Erb, Jr., and Frank Heckenast, Jr. With a $10,000 top prize on the line on Saturday evening, the Mount Vernon, Iowa ace ran second in his heat race, but was unfortunately an early retiree in the 40-lapper in finishing twenty-third. Simpson Cashes $10,000 in Wiener Nationals!!

(September 2, 2024) A lucrative Labor Day holiday weekend greeted drivers racing with the Lucas Oil MLRA Series, as a trio of events in the Show-Me State were held from August 30-September 1. Up first were a pair of races at the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri that made up the annual 'Ron Jenkins Memorial.' On Friday night in the $7,000 to win opener, Chad Simpson ran second in his heat race before advancing to fourth in the 30-lap feature to trail only victor Chris Simpson, Billy Moyer, and Tony Jackson, Jr. With a $12,000 payday on the line on Saturday evening, Chad won his heat race and later nabbed another fourth place effort in the 40-lapper behind only victor Tony Jackson, Jr., Dillon McCowan, and Gordy Gundaker.

The triple shot then wrapped up on Sunday with a stop to Moberly Motorsports Park in Moberly, Missouri. A $10,000 first place prize was up for grabs in the annual running of the 'Wiener Nationals.' Chad earned Fast Time honors during the qualifying session prior to securing a heat race triumph. The Mount Vernon, Iowa standout then led the 30-lap main event on two different occasions for a total of nineteen circuits to pocket the five figure paycheck over runner-up Dillon McCowan, Billy Moyer, Tony Jackson, Jr., and Chris Simpson! Chad Simpson Rallies for Webster City Win!

(August 25, 2024) After a rain-out at I-70 (MO) Motorsports Park on Saturday, August 24, Chad Simpson Racing bolted to Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City, Iowa and promptly picked up their second victory of the 2024 campaign! Chad Simpson went eleventh quickest in Group B during the Malvern Bank Series qualifying session and later secured a heat race victory. The #25 then started the 35-lap 'Bill Rice Memorial' from the inside of the eighth row and Chad put on a show for his home state fans. The Mount Vernon, Iowa star rallied from deep in the field, took the lead near the halfway mark, and won by over three seconds to record the $4,000 triumph over runner-up Jake Neal, Jason Hahne, Tad Pospisil, and Chad Holladay!

Earlier in the weekend, Chad vied for a $5,000 payday with the Lucas Oil MLRA tour on Friday evening at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas. Chad stopped the clock second fastest overall during time trials prior to nabbing a heat race win. After starting the 30-lapper from the outside of the front row, he ultimately rounded out the podium in third behind only victor Derrick Stewart and runner-up Chase Junghans. Team 25 Competes in Lucrative Hawkeye 100

(August 18, 2024) Mount Vernon, Iowa standout Chad Simpson rolled into Maquoketa Speedway in Maquoketa, Iowa on August 16-17 for the two-day 'Hawkeye 100,' which was sanctioned by the World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series. On Friday night with a $10,000 payday up for grabs, Chad placed third in his heat race before finishing twelfth in the final rundown of the 40-lap main event. With a whopping $20,000 first place prize on the line in Saturday's finale, Chad ran third in his heat race and eleventh in the 60-lapper. Top Five for Simpson in Rare Sycamore Visit

(August 10, 2024) Following a few weekends off, Chad Simpson Racing invaded Sycamore Speedway in Maple Park, Illinois on Friday night, August 9. The MARS Late Model Championship Series sanctioned the action in the Land of Lincoln and a $5,000 winner's check was up for grabs. Chad Simpson stopped the clock fourth fastest overall during the qualifying session prior to finishing fourth in his heat race. Chad then picked off a handful of competitors during the 40-lap headliner to land in the fifth spot behind only victor Ryan Unzicker, Mike Spatola, Jason Feger, and Frank Heckenast, Jr.! Chad Simpson Twelfth in Huset's Finale

(July 21, 2024) The Chad Simpson Racing team followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to Huset's Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota from July 18-20 for the annual running of the 'Silver Dollar Nationals.' In the first of two prelim nights on Thursday, Chad Simpson placed fifth in his heat race and thirteenth in the $10,000 to win feature. With another $10,000 payday on the line on Friday night, Chad ran third in his loaded heat race before finishing eleventh in the final rundown of the 40-lapper.

On Saturday evening at Huset's Speedway, a whopping $53,000 first place prize was up for grabs in the 'Silver Dollar Nationals' grand finale. By virtue of racking up the twelfth most points during preliminary action, Chad rolled off from the outside of the sixth row in the 80-lap headliner. The Mount Vernon, Iowa ace then wound up right where he started in the 'Silver Dollar Nationals' by bringing his #25 machine home in the twelfth finishing position. Simpson Battles Lucas Oil Foes in Iowa

(July 17, 2024) With the rain-out of the 'Diamond Nationals' at Lucas Oil (MO) Speedway sandwiched in between, the Chad Simpson Racing team entered a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series specials in the Hawkeye State from July 11-16. Up first was the annual running of the 'Slocum 50' on Thursday night at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa. Chad Simpson placed fourth in his stacked heat race prior to advancing three positions during the $15,555 to win headliner to finish thirteenth at the unfurling of the checkered flag.

On Tuesday evening, the Shelby County Speedway in Harlan, Iowa hosted the national tour for the first time and a $10,053 first place prize was up for grabs. Chad ran sixth in his heat race before nabbing the sixth and final transfer spot into the 53-lap main event. The Mount Vernon, Iowa ace was then an early retiree in the 'Kosiski Family 53' and was relegated to a twenty-third place showing. Chad Simpson Sixth in $50k Gopher 50!

(July 7, 2024) Next up on the racing calendar for the #25 team was a visit to Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minnesota from July 4-6 for the annual running of the 'Gopher 50.' Following a rain-out on Thursday, a day/night doubleheader was set for Friday to get both $7,000 to win preliminary programs in the book. During the day, Chad Simpson ran third in his heat race before climbing all the way to fifth in the 30-lap feature behind only winner Ryan Gustin, Nick Hoffman, Bobby Pierce, and Dennis Erb, Jr. Later that evening, Chad unfortunately missed out on the 30-lapper after finishing eighth in his heat race and ninth in his B-Main.

A huge crowd was then on hand on Saturday evening for the 'Gopher 50' grand finale, which boasted a whopping $50,000 payday. By virtue of his strong points performance in the opener on Friday, Chad transferred directly into the 75-lap headliner. After placing third in his dash, the Mount Vernon, Iowa ace stormed past five competitors during the 'Gopher 50' to finish sixth at the checkers behind only victor Bobby Pierce, Brandon Sheppard, Tyler Erb, Ryan Gustin, and Nick Hoffman. Simpson Battles Outlaws Foes in Hawkeye State

(June 26, 2024) Chad Simpson, of Mount Vernon, Iowa, battled the World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series stars in a pair of $10,000 to win events at Independence Motor Speedway in Independence, Iowa and Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City, Iowa on June 24-25. On Monday night at Independence, Chad won his heat race and drew the outside pole for the 40-lap main event, but an unfortunate battery issue before the race even started dropped him to a disappointing twenty-fourth place showing. At Hamilton County on Tuesday evening, Chad placed third in his stacked heat race and fourteenth in the 35-lapper. Chad Simpson Competes at Davenport

(June 19, 2024) Chad Simpson Racing made their way to Davenport Speedway in Davenport, Iowa on Tuesday evening, June 18. The DIRTcar Summer Nationals sanctioned a $5,000 to win program on the 1/4-mile dirt oval. Chad Simpson laid down the sixteenth quickest lap in Group B during qualifying before running seventh in his heat race and fourteenth in the B-Main. Chad unfortunately was unable to make the start in the 30-lap main event that was ultimately won by Tyler Erb. Simpson Steers to Sixth at CJ Speedway

(June 15, 2024) Chad Simpson steered Jay Johnson's #93 machine on Friday night, June 14 at CJ Speedway in Columbus Junction, Iowa. The Malvern Bank East Series rolled into town last night and a $3,000 paycheck was up for grabs. Chad timed in eleventh quickest in Group A during the qualifying session before securing a victory in heat race action. After starting fourteenth on the grid in the 25-lapper, Chad was able to work his way past eight competitors during the contest to land in the sixth finishing position. Chad Simpson Eighth at Callaway Raceway

(June 9, 2024) Current Lucas Oil MLRA Series point leader Chad Simpson, of Mount Vernon, Iowa, invaded Callaway Raceway in Fulton, Missouri on Friday night, June 7 for a $5,000 to win series battle. Chad timed in seventh quickest in Group B during the qualifying session prior to placing fourth in his loaded heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the seventh row in the 30-lap main event, Chad was able to work his way past six competitors during the caution-free affair to land in the eighth finishing position.

After Springfield Raceway in Springfield, Missouri was washed out on Saturday evening, June 8, the #25 team made dash to Winneshiek Raceway in Decorah, Iowa for a $5,000 to win Dirt Kings Tour showdown. Unfortunately, Chad suffered terminal mechanical woes early in the night and was forced to scratch from the 'King of the Bullring 40,' which was won by Dustin Sorensen. Simpson Takes Lead Late; Wins Davenport!

(May 28, 2024) After returning home from the 'Show-Me 100,' the #25 team celebrated in victory lane for the first time in 2024 on Monday, May 27 at Davenport Speedway in Davenport, Iowa! Chad Simpson stopped the clock third quickest overall in Malvern Bank East Series qualifying prior to advancing past four competitors during his heat race to land in the second spot. After rolling off from the outside of the third row again in the 25-lap main event, Chad slipped past leader Chad Holladay to lead the final five circuits. At the checkers, the Mount Vernon, Iowa ace was celebrating a $3,000 triumph ahead of runner-up Derrick Stewart, Chad Holladay, Luke Goedert, and Justin Kay!
